During term 4 2005, group of nine Year 9 students and one Year ten student had the privilege of working with Alastair MacInnes, a digital cartoon animator. The activity was funded by Arts Victoria and the Department of Education and Training as part of the Artist in Residence Program.
It was an excellent opportunity for the students to learn more about animation as well as gain an insight into the manner in which a professional animator approaches tasks.
Al worked with the students over a three week period and they produced some wonderful animations. Their works were then combined by Al to create a short film that Premiered at the Community Cinema on the March 3rd 2006. It is entitled 'The St.Arnaud Horror Show'.
The students were Heidi Hammond, Sharon Drury, Steven Drury, Sarah Ferguson, Stephen Watts, Kayle Raeburn, Anna Medlyn, Matthew Goode and Lachlan Sutherland.
