As you are all hopefully aware, St. Arnaud Secondary College will be conducting the 2020 Presentation Evening on Thursday 28 January at 7pm in the St. Arnaud Town Hall. This is our opportunity to celebrate the achievements of 2020 and formally farewell our Year 12 cohort.
Congratulations is extended to all of our Year 12 students in 2020. Facing a very difficult year, our students have produced excellent results to the point where we were recognised as the equal most improved school over the last four years.
Student Reports will be accessible on the 18th December via the Compass Portal.
On Tuesday 16th December our new L2P vehicle arrived at the College, which for the short term will be housed at the Primary School in their bus shed.
Our annual Graduation Dinner which, due to the current restrictions, was a little different to previous years. It was great to be able to have students, parents and staff all together and to be able to celebrate the achievements of students.
The 2021 Booklists are now available for parents/guardians to begin ordering books and stationary for next year’s studies. There have been a number of changes to make this process smoother and more affordable. Booklists have been published to all students and staff via the Newsfeed on Compass.
The students theme for this year was being retired and elderly, and they clearly got into the swing of it. Staff shared a morning tea with the students – again being a little different to normal due to COVID with individual plates of food and sitting outside.
Following a comprehensive process we were able to announce our College Captains for 2021. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank the seven students who put in an initial application and attended an interview.
As part of the School Council’s plan to improve access to ICT at the College, parents/students are able to co-purchase the new notebooks offered to students. This is a joint purchase between you, the parents, and the school. The Notebook on offer in 2021 is the ACER TravelMate P214.
The College Breakfast Club runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00am until 8:45am. All students and staff most welcome!
The Canteen is located on the school site. Students place their lunch order at recess. The menu has an emphasis on healthy foods, with a range of menu options. The Canteen is open at Recess and Lunch times.
