After tireless work from our hardworking and industrious team of helpful students and our tenacious library staff, our collection has been curated and re-organised into our new space. Re-establishing our safe & quiet environment in a new setting has been challenging but to see the invaluable space emerge again has been very rewarding, with its fiction and non-fiction collection for all levels of reader, there is something for everyone.

Classes are regularly held in the library with lessons typically started with teacher guided reading, followed by individual reading and some free time for games at the end. There are individual and group study areas through-out the library for our senior students to utilise during their private study periods as well. All are welcome to enjoy the space.

The Library is also utilised at recess and lunch by students and staff to engage in various activities like board games including the fan favourite atm chess, there is also origami, colouring in, jigsaws and even a Dungeons and Dragons session led by the illustrious Dungeon Master Mr Dowers.

Here are some examples of the resources available for use by students and staff:

  • Fiction - novels, comics/graphic novels, picture story books, quick reads books
  • Non-fiction - various subjects that are suitable for assignments and research; plus, magazines and high-interest topics for recreational reading.
  • Reference books - atlases, encyclopaedias, dictionaries and yearbooks
  • Class set books - class novels and textbooks used in class.
  • Audio visual material - DVDs, charts and slides are only available for use in class.
  • Assistive technology for reading

Our library tech Mrs Lobley is here from Tuesday – Thursday to ensure the collections are stored and filed correctly, she is also more than happy to address any queries, questions, requests & acquisitions you might have.
